How to Convert CGPA to Percentage for Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) as per Latest Circular

As we know most of the university results are declared in CGPA grades but whenever we need to apply for a job or any other Government examination like MPSC, UPSC, PWD, WRD, PMC, or SSC examination, we need to convert this CGPA grade to Percentage and it is quite hectic to convert. So in this blog, we will learn about How to Convert CGPA to Percentage for the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).

Please note this conversion formula is applicable for Vidyashakha only as per given in university circular.

For your easy reference, I have given all the conversions if you are stuck to convert the same.

So let us learn what exactly the meaning of CGPA & SGPA is.

CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average and

SGPA stands for Semester Grade Point Average.

SGPA means the performance of a student in one semester and CGPA means an average of all SGPA grades.

Now I am taking the reference of Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Circular no.332/2020 (See Circular) which is applicable to those students who passed after AY 2019-20 in Vidyashakha only. 

So be careful, if you passed before AY 2019-20, then refer previous Pune University’s circular (Refer Video link of the previous circular-  See the Video)

Let us learn conversion from CGPA to Percentage.

University has given the grade-wise separate formulae as given below and you should follow this step by step.

 

1.    For O i.e. Outstanding Grade (CGPA 9.50  to 10)

Use following Equation:

Percentage (%) of marks = 20 x CGPA -100

e.g. For a CGPA of 9.51

Percentage (%) of marks = 20 x 9.51 - 100 = 90.20 %

e.g. For a CGPA of 8.25

Percentage (%) of marks = 12 x 8.25 - 25 = 74.00 %
